Dear Sandshark Parents,
Our Annual Shark-A-Thon (swim-a-thon) is scheduled for Friday, October 27 from 3:30-7:30pm. Please make sure that your swimmer has brought home his/her pledge form . Most of the swimmers will be doing their laps during their regular workout times; however, we will need some help from parents or friends to assist as “counters”. Pizza and drinks will be provided for the swimmers.
The money raised from our Shark-A-Thon is used exclusively for the needs of our swimmers, including training equipment (i.e. pace clocks and starting guns), awards, the banquet, and pool rental costs . All money raised by each swimmer will count as credit towards the family’s fundraising obligation. Ideas for getting pledges include asking friends, relatives, and neighbors!!!
There will be prizes for the top three swimmers who raise the most money. The team will also be divided into Blue vs. Green, with the team raising the most money also receiving prizes.
