Latest News and Information

The Southern Zones Open Water Championships will be held at Lake Pinehurst in Pinehurst, NC, on July 31st.  Sandhills Sandsharks is hosting this meet, which will include a 3K, 5K, and 1 Mile Open event.  Any USA swimmer can register for the 3K and 5K.

Coaches with over 5 swimmers can enter using the HyTek file; for less than 5 swimmers, please use the FS Series link.

We have compiled a contact list for all coaches involved in this race; should you participate, please send your contact information (cell phone, email) to susannecooper@gmail.com.  We do have on line liability release forms for both coaches and parents that must be completed prior to the races. And, we are sending out updates regarding venue information which will be helpful.

This race should be a great opportunity for swimmers to compete with top athletes from throughout the south.  We are looking forward to a great meet at a beautiful venue!

• The 1 miler will include “Warrior Relays” for military swimmers - Three man teams will all swim the mile distance, and the best aggregate time will win for their unit.
